I honestly couldn’t get enough! Comics, movies, novels, games! If I couldn’t buy it realistically according to budget I’d watch someone else experience it on YouTube. Sure the first few playthroughs were rocky, playing on the easiest difficulties (I was a little bitch in my young adolescence) and quitting many times before I could even make it to medical, but I learned to love the scares (even if years later I realize it wasn’t as terrifying as I thought it was and had grown accustomed to the game and it’s oddities) the gameplay and overarching Cthulhu esque story story concerning the brethren moons and the origins of the marker, necromorphs and unitology. When I was still a preteen DS 2 was in development and well the trailers use to really scare me (I was a little bitch who was to afraid to watch anything more unsettling than a cheesy thriller flick) and even before that I would sneak into my uncles room to only be freaked out watching him play DS1 yet by some sick fascination I slowly creeped closer, investigated, and played. DS is a special case to me well because it’s my most beloved survival horror franchise and what got me hooked on the franchise. To answer the actual question you asked however.
